To honor and revitalize D.H. Lawrence’s Birds, Beasts and Flowers, this classic reboot aims to create a brand identity that encapsulates the profound connection between nature and humanity expressed in Lawrence’s poetry. The design immerses readers in a visual experience that reflects the book’s themes of sensuality, vitality, and primal instinct. Through a harmonious blend of organic textures, earthy colours, and abstract visuals, we evoke the raw, natural beauty Lawrence depicts. Every element, from the custom typography to cover art and digital content, is crafted to echo the rich layers of emotion and nature woven throughout the poems. This reimagined design provides readers with an inviting, contemplative journey, aligning Lawrence’s timeless themes with a contemporary aesthetic.

POEM 1- ‘FLOWERS’

In Flowers, Lawrence captures the essence of nature's transient beauty—each bloom a moment suspended between life and death. The deep, rich blue backdrop enhances the emotional weight of the poem, symbolizing both the serenity and the melancholy of nature’s cycles. The colour reflects the depth of the earth and the vastness of the sky, inviting readers to contemplate the quiet power of renewal and impermanence in the natural world..

POEM 2- ‘TREES’

In Trees, Lawrence delves into nature's towering guardians' silent strength and enduring presence. The core purple hue symbolizes wisdom and mystery, evoking the deep roots and expansive branches connecting the earth and sky. This rich, regal colour reflects the poem’s exploration of timelessness, resilience, and the profound connection between humans and the natural world, inviting readers to find stillness and strength in the quiet life of trees.

POEM 3- ‘BARE FIG TREES’

The poem “BARE FIG TREES” Green represents bare fig-trees in the poem because it symbolizes life, renewal, and growth, contrasting with their seemingly lifeless, silvery exterior. This juxtaposition emphasizes the dynamic energy and potential within the fig-trees, aligning with the poem’s themes of hidden secrets and ancient wisdom. Green, as the predominant colour in nature, evokes a sense of harmony and balance, underscoring the trees’ resilience and mysterious vitality.

POEM 4- ‘TROPIC’

In Tropic, Lawrence immerses readers in the lush, vibrant energy of life beneath the equator, where nature thrives in radiant abundance. The golden hue at the heart of the design reflects the sun's intense heat and the vitality of the tropics, symbolizing warmth, prosperity, and the pulse of life. This rich colour accentuates the poem’s celebration of the tropical world, where the wildness of nature and human emotion blend in a shimmering dance of life, growth, and untamed beauty.
