With the goal of celebrating jazz’s rich history while attracting a diverse, modern audience, the Reverie Jazz Festival needed a brand identity that was as dynamic and expressive as the music itself. Held in Melbourne’s iconic Catani Gardens, the festival branding reflects the city’s lively cultural scene and jazz’s captivating essence. Through a cohesive brand strategy, we embraced bold, rhythmic typography and deep, moody colours that embody the genre’s soulful, timeless nature. The project included everything from a signature logo to promotional materials, event programs, and digital marketing assets, all designed to evoke the spirit of jazz. This rebrand creates an immersive experience, inviting festival-goers to engage with the music and atmosphere in an authentic, unforgettable way.

The festival’s brand aims to create an immersive experience that honors jazz’s legacy, connects with Melbourne’s vibrant arts scene, and invites attendees of all ages to explore the music’s timeless appeal.
DESIGN NOTES
To evoke the ambiance of a live jazz performance, we introduced rich, moody colors with vibrant accents that mimic the energy of spotlights on stage. Layered gradients and subtle light effects emulate the play of spotlights, casting warm highlights and deep shadows that bring the visuals to life. Bold, flowing typography mirrors the freeform nature of jazz, while custom illustrations of instruments add an authentic, artistic touch. Together, these design elements create an immersive experience that draws audiences into the heart of the music, as if they're right there under the glow of the spotlights at the Reverie Jazz Festival.
